Police say a woman broke into a house while the homeowner was in the shower, only to take a nap on the kitchen floor.
On Sunday, the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office got a call from a man that a woman was inside his house.
Deputies said that while in the shower, the man heard his dogs barking. When he got out he found a woman napping on his kitchen floor; she got up and ran away from the house.
The woman, Serena M. Burns, 32, Vinton, was found in a car near the area and the homeowner positively identified her, police said. While deputies spoke with the napping bandit, they noticed she was sweating profusely, runny nose, and moving her head and body constantly, all signs of drug use, deputies said.
Burns was arrested and taken to South Eastern Ohio Regional Jail and charged with Burglary/Breaking and Entering.
