PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — Pickaway County Sheriff Matthew Hafey is looking for the individual who hit a pedestrian and left them for dead alongside route 23.
The Sheriffbsaid deputies and EMS were dispatched to route 23 near old Huston Street in Circleville around 3 a.m.
Reports say, 23-year-old Richard Dean, Circleville, was lying in a ditch next to the highway when deputies arrived.
According to witnesses, a dark-colored truck struck the victim and then sped off.
Dean was taken to Grant Medical Center in serious condition.
Sheriff Hafey encourages anyone with information about the hit-and-run to contact his office.
