FAYETTE COUNTY, Ohio– An investigation is underway by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office into a fatal traffic accident that occurred November 11.
The crash occurred around 7:12 a.m. in Marion Township near Deer Haven Court along Washington-Waterloo Road.
The driver of a 1994 Honda Civic, Ezequiel Lopez, 34, of Washington Court House, was traveling northeast on Washington-Waterloo Road when he failed to negotiate a curve. According to reports, Lopez overcorrected and ended up veering off the left side of the road before striking a ditch and overturning. Lopez, authorities say, was ejected from his vehicle during the crash.
Fayette County Coroner Dr. Lenora Fitton pronounced him deceased at the scene. Officials say Lopez was the only occupant in the vehicle.
