ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — First responders handled a serious crash Wednesday night after a car slammed into a group home.
Deputies in Ross County, along with emergency personnel from Union Township responded when the call came into 9-1-1 dispatch shortly before 9 p.m.
According to initial reports, a car crashed into a “group home” in the 1700 block of Anderson Station Road. Witnesses on the scene said one person was possibly trapped inside.
Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office, authorities said, evacuated the remaining residents from the building.
“Chillicothe Group Home 4” is a Medicaid certified 8-bed intermediate care facility, according to their website, that caters to those with intellectual disabilities.
The Guardian could not independently confirm if there were any injuries in the crash. The cause of the accident, officials say, is still under investigation.
