The incident happened shortly after 11 a.m. on Monday at the Valero station on North Bridge Street.
Employees said that a suspect wearing gloves, a facemask, and a hooded sweatshirt broke into the machine near the rear of the gas station.
The company’s district manager provided police with surveillance footage and a possible suspect’s name.
The suspect is seen walking through the store before going into a cooler in the surveillance footage.
Reports say officers attempted to locate the potential suspect, who, police said, had outstanding warrants.
The case remains under investigation.
