FAYETTE COUNTY, Ohio — Two high school students were injured in a crash late-Saturday night after leaving their local prom dance.
Sheriff Vernon P. Stanforth told the Guardian that the students had just left the dance at Miami Trace High School when the crash occurred near Bloomingburg-New Holland and Lewis Roads.
Miami Trace is home to the Panthers and is one of several area high schools holding their annual prom celebrations this month.
The Sheriff said the injuries in the crash are “serious” and that both students were taken to trauma-level hospitals. Stanforth said there is no indication that alcohol was involved.
The names of the students and the events leading up to the crash have not been released.
