Two police officers were injured Wednesday night in a pursuit that stretched two counties.
Both officers were from Washington Court House Police Department, who were engaged in a high-speed chase with a suspect.
The chase originated in Washington Court House and finished outside of Williamsport in Pickaway County after the suspect crashed the car he was driving into a field.
Sheriff Vernon Stanforth from Fayette County confirmed that one of the officers was flown from the scene and another was taken by ambulance to an area hospital. Stanforth said the officers’ injuries occurred during the pursuit, possibly by one of them running into a ditch, he said. The Sheriff said both officers’ injuries are non-life threatening.

Pickaway County Sheriff assisted and they are handling the accident investigation.
