Two people were injured after the third high speed pursuit in just a few days to hit the tri-county area.
Troopers say that Canaan Alexander, 21, was fleeing a trooper on Marietta Road in Ross County in a pickup trick when he lost control of the vehicle.
The truck went left of the center line, off the left side of the road, and struck an embankment, troopers said. It hit a cluster of trees, went back onto the road, and overturned. It came to a rest, upright, as it struck a traffic sign.
Alexander was ejected from the truck and transported to Adena Regional with severe injuries; he was later flown to Columbus. A passenger in the vehicle, Brandon L. Holley, 26, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Adena.
Earlier this week, the Guardian told you about two Washington Court House police officers who were severely injured in a chase that traveled in Pickaway County.
