COLUMBUS, Ohio — As the College Football Playoff semifinal between The Ohio State University and the University of Georgia approaches, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Georgia Governor Brian Kemp have placed a friendly wager on the outcome of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. The two governors have exchanged gifts featuring products from their respective states as part of the wager.

Governor DeWine has offered some of Ohio’s famous buckeye candies from Marsha’s Homemade Buckeyes in Perrysburg, Stewart’s Root Beer, which was founded in Mansfield, Ohio in 1924, and some Ohio maple syrup made by Governor DeWine’s son John DeWine at Flying Mouse Farms in Yellow Springs. Governor Kemp, in turn, has put forward some Georgia-grown agricultural products, including Georgia-grown peaches, Georgia peanuts, and Georgia-made apple cider, in honor of the Peach Bowl game.

The exchange of gifts serves as a fun and friendly way for the governors to show their support for their respective teams and to celebrate the agricultural heritage of their states. The winner of the wager will be determined by the outcome of the game.
