CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A Ross County school district is mourning the loss of one of its beloved teachers.
Robin Bumgardner, 55, Chillicothe, passed away on Friday after an extended battle with cancer. She served as a teacher with the Union-Scioto Local School District for over 20 years.
Unioto High School, officials said, will be closed tomorrow, with the middle school and elementary school having a two-hour early release.
Funeral services for Bumgardner will take place Tuesday evening, January 31, at 5 p.m. in the Unioto High School Gymnasium at 14193 Pleasant Valley Road. Pastor Bud Brabson will be officiating. The family will hold calling hours starting at 12:00 p.m. and will continue until 4 p.m.
