CINCINNATI, Ohio — The Cincinnati Bengals and PureCycle Technologies announced a partnership milestone after working together during the 2022 season. The two organizations successfully recycled more than 40 tons of aluminum and plastic and over 60 tons of cardboard through the PureZero ™ waste program.
CEO of PureCycle, Dustin Olson, stated, “This is evidence of what can happen when best practices are put into place and everyone is pulling in the same direction.” Ryan Holmes, the Bengals’ Director of Corporate Partnerships, also shared his excitement, “This relationship showcases how a true partnership between the team and sponsor can make a positive impact on our environment and the community.”
As part of the PureZero ™ program, the Bengals have implemented a multi-step approach to reduce plastic waste generation at home games. PureCycle is also working with the team to recommend the stocking of concessions with No.5 plastic products for a circular recycling system.
“Thanks to innovators like PureCycle, Bengals fans can recycle more plastics than ever before,” said Jeff Snyder, Director of Recycling at Rumpke Waste & Recycling. The partnership between the Bengals, PureCycle, and Rumpke is a great example of how businesses can work together for a greener future.
