PIKE COUNTY, Ohio — Search and rescue crews were searching for a missing child in rural Pike County on Saturday.

The call came in around 4:15 p.m. that a 5-year-old walked into the woods along Hopper Road and had not been seen since.

The child was wearing a white shirt that said “SUNSHINE,” black pants, with pink and black shoes.

The Pike County Sheriff had requested a helicopter and first responders to aide in the search, but about an hour later, the child was safely found.
