PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — An arrest has been made in the homicide of two people in Pickaway County.
Im a recent development, Sheriff Matthew O. Hafey reported on Monday the discovery of two deceased individuals at inside a trailer at a trailer park at 10117 US Route 62 Lot 32.
Deputies arrived at the scene, where they discovered the lifeless bodies of two men in a back bedroom. The deceased were identified as Craig T. Dewitt, a 58-year-old male and Cory A. Moore, a 22-year-old male, both from the trailer park.
The Ohio Attorney General’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigations Crime Scene Unit was called in to process the scene. Both Dewitt and Moore were transported to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for a comprehensive autopsy, which revealed that both individuals had sustained multiple stab wounds.
The dedicated efforts of the Detective Bureau were evident, as within the initial day of the investigation, they conducted numerous interviews and executed multiple search warrants.
On Wednesday, shortly after 5 AM, the Pickaway County Special Response Team (SRT) apprehended 44-year-old Marty R. Dotson at his residence in Orient. Dotson has been charged with two counts of Murder and one count of Kidnapping and is scheduled for arraignment in the Circleville Municipal Court on Thursday.
