Mayor Luke Feeney announced today, that as part of the City of Chillicothe’s response to community concerns related to COVID-19, the City’s Water Department will suspend all residential water shut-offs for non-payment until May.
“In our commitment to the health & safety of our residents, we want to ensure that all residents have adequate resources to practice recommended personal hygiene measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus,” the Mayor said. “We will also continue to work with the Ross County Health District, City and County Officials and medical professionals to provide resources vital to staying healthy and safe.”
The Mayor added, “Our community can rest assured that the City of Chillicothe’s drinking water treatments are effective in removing and/or inactivating viruses and that our water meets all current federal & state drinking water requirements.”
