CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Police in Chillicothe are investigating a case of possible child enticement.
According to the police report provided to The Guardian, officers were dispatched to Hopeton Village after receiving information about a man attempting to solicit children to meet for sex.
The complainants, a group called Predator Hunters of Indiana, informed police that they had made contact with a male in the building. The group told investigators that they had several decoy pages that the individual contacted. They stated that they were pretending to be two juveniles, aged 13 and 15 years old.
The police report states that the male subject then attempted to make arrangements to meet the teens for sex. The group provided police with a folder containing messages and information exchanged during their chat.
The report provided was heavily redacted by law enforcement, citing an ongoing investigation. The name of the suspect in the case was also withheld by police.
