ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The search continues for a missing Ross County teenager, 16-year-old Whitney Hatfield. Hatfield was last seen at her residence on Main Street in South Salem on March 7.
According to the family, search and rescue crews, including K-9 units and volunteers, have been conducting ground operations to locate her. The K-9 units, a family member said, tracked her from her home to the last spot they believed she was before potentially being picked up.
The family has stated that they do not know her motive or location, or if she is safe. They are pleading with the community for help in locating her.
Hatfield is described as 5’ 1”, 130lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing light-colored pants and a dark t-shirt.
Anyone with information on Hatfield’s whereabouts is urged to contact the sheriff’s office.
