COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Traffic Safety Office (OTSO) is now accepting grant proposals from non-profits and government agencies for projects aimed at reducing traffic fatalities.
Eligible projects must address traffic safety issues such as alcohol/drug-impaired driving, seatbelt use, speed management, pedestrian/bicycle safety, or other causes of serious traffic incidents.
Allowable costs include personnel, services, equipment, supplies, and public education campaigns. Proposals must demonstrate cost-effectiveness, measurable results, and potential impact on state and local traffic safety goals.
Funding is provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for the federal fiscal year 2025 (October 1, 2024 – September 30, 2025).
