CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A Ross County man is facing decades behind bars after being convicted of attempting to kill a man by pinning him against a building with his vehicle.
Jason Lytle was found guilty on Wednesday in the Ross County Court of Common Pleas on one count of attempted murder and three counts of felonious assault. He was sentenced to a total of 20 to 28 years in prison.
Lytle received a sentence of 8 to 12 years for the attempted murder charge. The felonious assault charges will be served consecutively, with a sentence of 12 to 16 years.
The charges stem from an incident last summer in which Lytle allegedly used his vehicle to pin a man against the exterior wall of a local business. Lytle was initially arrested and indicted on attempted murder charges. While out on bond, he faced additional charges for a domestic violence incident on April 15, including felony domestic violence, resisting arrest, and robbery. Judge Michael Ater set a $1 million bond for those charges, which are still pending in court.
