PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — A year ago, a local family nearly faced a devastating tragedy if not for the swift actions of the Harrison Township Fire Department in Ashville.
On June 5, 2023, two local residents were involved in a severe car crash. One individual was ejected from the vehicle during the incident. Both individuals were rushed to the hospital in serious condition, according to the department.
Fast forward to today, both residents have made a full recovery and wanted to express their gratitude to the first responders who saved their lives.
On Sunday, the pair visited the firehouse to meet with the first responders who were on the scene that fateful day.
In a social media post, the Harrison Township Fire Department expressed their joy at seeing the positive outcome. “It is fantastic to see an amazing recovery,” the post read. The department credited the “excellent care the paramedics provided” as a significant factor in the successful recovery of the two.
