CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A Chillicothe native and professional bowler, Brandon Novak, has been sentenced to several years in prison on child pornography charges.
Novak, 35, pleaded guilty in April to 15 charges related to child pornography. Ross County Common Pleas Judge Matthew Schmidt handed down the sentence last Thursday, imposing 12 months in prison for each of the first four counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, and 11 months for the fifth count.
The case originated from a complaint received by the Chillicothe Police Department in February 2023. The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force had reported the complaint, which included several videos depicting young males and one juvenile male engaged in inappropriate contact with an adult male.
Authorities traced the IP address associated with the photos and videos to Novak’s home. This led to a raid on his residence by law enforcement on February 21, 2023, ultimately resulting in his arrest and subsequent charges.
