WAVERLY, Ohio — The Garnet A. Wilson Public Library is scheduled to reopen on August 26th after undergoing extensive renovations due to a fire that occurred in March.
The blaze, which started in a neighboring building, caused significant damage to the library’s main floor, affecting wiring, walls, and carpeting. The basement also sustained damage, requiring new carpeting in both the hallway and community room.
The fire also destroyed several businesses, including Perry Glass Service, and displaced local families.
