COLUMBUS, Ohio — A bomb threat directed at the Ohio Statehouse prompted a response from the Ohio Highway Patrol and other agencies on Monday.

The threat officials said, was emailed just before 9:00 AM., and was forwarded to the patrol.

Troopers, along with additional agencies and explosive-detecting K-9 units, searched the Statehouse. Investigators said they determined that the threat was not credible.

The investigation into the email and sender is ongoing.
