CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A contractor for the city’s waste water treatment plant reported a theft that occurred overnight, prompting an investigation by the Chillicothe Police Department.
According to police, an officer arrived at the scene and spoke with the owner of the construction company hired for the treatment plant’s ongoing projects. The contractor reported that an unsecured facility was entered, resulting in the theft of an air tank and a welding torch, with a combined value of approximately $1,000.
The officer noted in the report that there was no available surveillance footage to assist in identifying the suspect. As of now, there are no leads or suspects in the case.
