A woman was taken to the hospital after a man sliced her multiple times.
It happened at about 4:30 a.m. on Saturday morning at 767 Hopetown Road, apartment J-6 in Ross County. The woman called 9-1-1 saying she had been assaulted by a man she knew and that he was still attacking her.
Deputies responded to the apartment; as they were pulling up, the man was spotted running away from the complex. Deputies preliminarily identified the man, who had a warrant out of Jackson County. They searched the immediate area but did not locate him. Warrants have been put out for his arrest.
The woman is expected to be okay.
