State troopers and Chillicothe police swarmed a house on Applewood Drive in Chillicothe Monday afternoon.
Chief Keith Walshburn said that a man and woman were detained while the house was searched for drugs. He said the house has been an issue for the middle class subdivision, even going as far as calling the house “a drug den.”
Inside 81 Applewood Drive, heroin and meth were confiscated, the chief said. Police also searched a car that the woman was driving and towed it away from the scene. She will be charged with driving under suspension.
The chief said the cases will be presented to the grand jury for charges, which will likely included felony charges for possession. Because no official charges have been filed at this time related to the drugs, the Guardian is not releasing the names of those involved.
Assisting CPD were state troopers and the DEA.
