The complaint will be for hearing before the Court on May 28, 2019 at 09:00 AM at the Ross County Common Pleas Coutt, Juvenile Division, Ross County Courthouse, 2 N. Paint Street, Suite A, Chillicothe, Ohio; and TERRY MEADE, parent is ordered to appear before said Court on said date and show cause why the complaint’s prayer should not be granted. YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT: You are entitled to be represented by an attorney and that upon request the Court will appoint an attorney for an indigent party entitled to appointed counsel under Juvenile Rule 4(A); If you are unable to afford an attorney, you should call Tammy Kellough or Lois Smith, Deputy Clerks of the Court at (740) 774-1177 to arrange for appointed counsel. If you do not appear for this hearing, you may lose valuable rights or be subject to Court sanction. If the child is adjudicated abused, neglected, or dependent and the complaint seeks an order of permanent custody, an order of permanent custody would cause the parents, guardian or legal custodian to be divested permanently of all parental rights and privileges. If the child is adjudicated abused, neglected, or dependent and the complaint seeks an order of temporary custody, an order of temporary custody will cause the removal of the child from the legal custody of the parents, guardian, or other custodian until the Court terminates the order of temporary custody or permanently divests the parents of their parental rights. If the child is adjudicated abused, neglected, or dependent and the complaint seeks an order of planned permanent living arrangement, an order of long term foster care will cause the removal of the child from the legal custody of the parents, guardian, or other custodian. In the event you fail to appear, the Court may order a case plan prepared for the child and family, which case plan generally requires the establishment of general goals for the child consistent with the best interest and special needs of the child, including the establishment of priorities dealing with the best-interest of the child. Further, in the event any parent, guardian, or custodian of the child is bound by the terms of the journalized case plan and fails to comply, the Court can hold that parent, guardian, or custodian of the child in contempt of Court by failure to comply.
