The Sheriff in Ross County said that his office was searching for an escaped inmate Tuesday morning before the man was recaptured.
Here’s what the Sheriff released Tuesday morning:
Shortly before 4:00 a.m this morning 31 year old Cruz Lowery a prisoner at the Ross County Jail, who was assigned as an trustee was assisting a corrections officer in taking trash out of the facility. Mr. Lowery took off running from the corrections officer.
My office is currently attempting to locate Mr. Lowery. He is described as being 5’6″ tall, 160 lbs., brown hair and blue eyes. He was last wearing bright orange shirt and pants, but deputies have found his shirt.
Mr. Lowey was serving a sentence out of Chillicothe Municipal Court for Misdemeanor Theft and Trespass.
The man was apprehended about five hours later.
