A semi that was hauling other semis crashed along route 23 Monday evening.

It happened southbound in Ross County near the Pike County line close to Barker’s Auto Sales. No serious injuries were reported, but the crashed caused an diesel and oil fluid to leak into the ditch. As a precaution, firefighters treated the situation as a hazmat scene.

Route 23 was open for the most part, until tow trucks arrived to clear the scene.

No names have been released nor have the events leading up to the crash.
