One person has been killed in a crash in Pike County.

It happened at around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Morgans Fork Road and Pike Lake Road.

William Scott, 35, Piketon was driving a green Ford Ranger when he went left of center and hit Mykaila Lowman, 23, Waverly, troopers said. Scott was transported to Ohio State University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Lowman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner at the scene.

Troopers said Scott is believed to have been impaired and that is what caused the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by troopers at the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
