Adena Regional Medical Center was on lockdown Monday evening. The lockdown was the result of a bomb threat.

Jason Gilham, spokesman with Adena said someone called in a bomb threat to the hospital.

“We are taking this, following system policy, with these kind of threats,” said Gilham. He said he doesn’t recall a threat like this in recent years.

Patients were still being accepted at the emergency room, but employees and visitors were being asked not to leave the campus until law enforcement give the all clear.

Law enforcement gave the all clear at around 8:30 p.m. after no package was found.
