A camper exploded just after midnight Sunday morning in Ross County.
It happened in the 10000 block of state Route 772.
A passerby called 9-1-1 saying the camper was on fire. While a woman was on the phone, a man approached the camper door to make sure no one was inside. That’s when the camper exploded, almost injuring the man.
Deputies and firefighters arrived on scene and put the flames out.
The cause of the fire was not immediately released.
