A SWAT standoff ended peacefully Sunday morning in Chillicothe.
It happened at around 2:30 a.m. in the 709 block of East 2nd Street.
A woman called 9-1-1 saying her boyfriend was beating her. Police arrived and was able to rescue the woman, but the man barricaded himself in the home.
Deputies, troopers, and officers surrounded the home with shotguns and rifles. A search warrant was sought and the local SRT team was on standby.
After about 45 minutes, the man was taken into custody. The woman was not seriously injured.
No names have been released.
