A house fire in Ross County caused a portion of route 23 to be restricted.
It happened at around 12:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of route 23 southbound near Debord Road. The homeowner called 9-1-1 to report her garage was on fire. By the time firefighters was able to arrive on scene the fire had spread to the home.
The woman made it out safely, but ran back inside to get her dog. Firefighters were able to get her back outside safely.
The cause of the fire was not immediately released, but route 23 was restricted for emergency vehicles as the fire was being fought.
