The new Sheriff of Vinton County took deadly drugs off the street this week in a raid.
Sheriff Ryan C. Cain and his deputies arrested Brian Canode, 42, Tuesday evening after they served a search warrant under the cover of darkness on Canode’s Hamden residence.
Inside, the Sheriff said deputies seized “multiple” packets of fentanyl, illegal prescription pills, money, and other criminal tools. The raid, the Sheriff said, was the result of a lengthy narcotics investigation.
Canode was charged with trafficking, tampering with drugs, possessing criminal tools, a pattern of corrupt activity, and possession of drugs.
He will face an arraignment next week.
