The names of those involved in a serious crash in Ross County on Saturday have been released.
It happened at Trego Creek Road and route 23 in Scioto Township at around 8 p.m.
Troopers said that Ashley Burton, 23, Chillicothe, and passengers, Jalen Mischal, 25, and a three-year old child were traveling northbound on the highway near Trego Creek Road. Officials said that’s when a 2005 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Joseph Helton, 58, Chillicothe, and passenger, Eva Smith, 29, failed to yield a stop sign while crossing route 23; the two vehicles collided.
Eva Smith was transported by Huntington Township EMS to Adena Regional Medical Center and later flown to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. Joseph Helton was transported to Adena Medical Center by Scioto Township EMS for non-life-threatening injuries. Ashley Burton, Jalen Mischal, and the juvenile were all transported to Adena Medical Center by Green Township EMS as a precaution.
