A house was gutted Sunday morning when it went up in flames at around 8 a.m.
It occurred at 700 Adams Avenue in Chillicothe.
When firefighters arrived, flames were shooting out the windows and front door of the home.
Chillicothe Fire Chief Aaron Knotts told the Guardian that the homeowners weren’t home when the flames broke out. He said that while firefighters were battling the blaze, the homeowners came home. While on-the-scene, one of the occupants of the home started experiencing difficulty breathing and was assessed by medics; they are expected to be okay.
A fire investigator was called to the scene, per protocol, to determine the cause of the fire.
