CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — A major power outage is impacting nearly 10,000 customers across multiple counties.
According to South Central Power, approximately 10,000 homes and businesses are without power in multiple counties. The outage occurred at around 7 p.m.
The outage impacts nearly 25% of customers for the company in Pickaway County with an estimated 5,000 customers without power in that county. In Ross County, another 1,700 are impacted, and 1,500 in Hocking County.
The cause of the outage was not immediately released.
Representatives for the company told the Guardian that restoration is not expected until after 10 p.m. on Tuesday.
