Ernest Allen Davis
Ernest Allen Davis, 54, of South Bloomingville, passed from this life on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at his home in South Bloomingville, Ohio after a courageous battle with cancer. Ernie was born on February 11, 1967, in Lancaster, Ohio, to the late Roy and Phyllis (Hart) Davis.
He is survived by his companion of 16 years, Jerri Corbin, of South Bloomingville, Ohio; children and step-children, Rita Nicholson, Erica (Matt) Whitcraft, Anthony Varney, Ryan Varney, and Tasslyn Varney; grandchildren, Jordan, Marishika and Ethan Nicholson, Allison, Mesha and Riley Cook, Kylissa Varney, Peyton Carpenter, Preston Phillips, E.J. Walls, and Kevin Mercer; siblings, John (Crickett) Davis, of Laurelville, Dee (Kevin) Graham, of Amanda, and Esther Davis, of South Bloomingville; step-mother, Debbie Woodard, of South Bloomingville; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.
In addition to his parents, Ernie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse and Esther (Cordell) Davis and Melford and Dorothy (Betts) Hart; infant son, Hunter Davis; sister, Crystal Elaine Davis; and son-in-law, Matthew Nicholson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 21 at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Pastor Jim Wine officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Hill’s. Covid-19 precautions will be observed.
