Obituary
Keith E. Francis, 69, of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully surrounded by his two sons and their families on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born June 3, 1951, in Ross County, to the late Marvin and Clara Ison Francis. On July 31, 1976, he married the former Barbara A. Ingham who passed away January 27, 2019.
Surviving are sons, Nathan (Amy) Francis, of Chillicothe and Trevor (Madison) Francis, of Ray; granddaughters, Kyra, Adalyn, Gracie and Ellison; a brother, Duane (Judy) Francis; a sister, Pam (Ron) Zeisler; several nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law who was a close friend, Tom Ingham, of Chillicothe; and a special friend, Terry Carroll, of Londonderry.
Keith was a graduate of Southeastern High School. He served in the United States Air Force in Spain during the Vietnam War. Keith retired from the Chillicothe VA Medical Center where he had worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist and had also worked at WEAREVER. He was a member of the former I.O.O.F. Lodge in Richmond Dale. Keith coached Little League Baseball in Richmond Dale for many years, was an avid golfer, gardener and fisherman. He loved to vacation with his wife and family in Newaygo, Michigan and Panama City, Florida. Above all, he loved his granddaughters, whom affectionately referred to themselves as “papaws girls”.
A celebration of his life with be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2021 in the Richmond Dale United Methodist Church. There will be no funeral service. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
