LANCE WILLIAM SUTTON, age 43, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 3:24 p.m. at Adena Fayette Medical Center. His death was sudden and unexpected.
He was born on July 30, 1977 in Fayette County to Pearl William “Bill” and Marsha Lynn (Overly) Sutton Phillips. He attended Miami Trace High School. Lance was currently employed at the Sugar Creek Packing Company where he worked in Sanitation. He was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, and brother. He enjoyed going to work, drawing, watching Anime, and loved being a great Dad.
Lance was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Bill (Rhonda) Sutton, and his brother, Keith Eggleton.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Marsha (Carl) Phillips; his wife, Roxanne Elizabeth (Bernard) Sutton, whom he married on January 26, 2004; children, Andrew, Kennedy, Aiden, Alexander, Ashton, Katelynn, Abraham, and Kiersten; sister, Heather (Adam) Olley; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Holly, Thereasa, Russell, Andrew, and Bryan. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Dr. John W. Lewis, Senior Pastor at Anchor Baptist Church, officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Summers Funeral Home to help cover final expenses.
