CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Three people were injured Friday night as storms barreled through the region.

It happened just before 10 p.m. along Marietta Road.

Troopers said that the driver swerved to miss a deer and hit a tree. Two adults and a teenager were hurt in the crash. A private ambulance from MedFlight assisted first responders at the scene because there weren’t enough ambulances available in the township to treat three people.

The names of those involved and the extent of their injuries were not immediately released.

Marietta Road was restricted for over an hour while crews cleaned up the crash.
