CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A cyclist is in serious condition after a crash in Chillicothe.
EMS was dispatched to Western Avenue on Cabbage Hill in Chillicothe around 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Passersby called 9-1-1 saying that a cyclist was laying in the middle of the road, badly hurt.
According to medics on scene, the man was unconscious and barely breathing. He was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center in serious condition.
The bicycle involved was a motorized, gas powered bicycle.
Troopers were not immediately sure if the man crashed on his own or if a vehicle fled the scene; they said they will investigate to find out.
The man’s name has not been released.
