ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Rescue crews responded to an unusual call Sunday evening.

According to the Ross County Sheriff’s office, rescue crews went to a house on Falls Road, around 7 p.m., after reports of a trapped animal.

Deputies and members of the Bainbridge Fire Department responded to the incident and found a baby calf about 25 feet down in a well.

Law enforcement on the scene said the fire department and the property owner placed a rope around the calf’s neck and legs and were able to pull it up.

The Bainbridge Fire Department confirmed the calf was not injured in the fall.
