Janet Lee (Wilson) Thompson of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on the morning of July 3, 2021, at the age of 87.
Janet was born November 9, 1933, in Fayette County, Ohio to the late Buddy and Minnie (Little) Wilson. She lived over 40 years in the Washington CH area, before moving to Dayton, Ohio. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother.
Along with her parents, Janet was preceded in death by sisters, Beulah “Boots” Weeter, Martha Noel, Helen Knapke, and Imogene Gookenbarger and brothers, Dick and Bill Wilson.
She is survived by her husband Jack, with whom she shared just a few days shy of 69 years of marriage; her children, Debra Barnes and her husband Terry of TN and Jeff Thompson and his wife Gale of WCH; grandchildren, Chad McNutt and his wife Beth, Dustin Thompson and his wife Heather, Adam Thompson and his fiancée Shawn, and Daniel and Devon Barnes; and 9 great grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob, Allison, Matthew, Dylan, Haylie, Makenze, Cooper, and Cadyn; as well as, one great-great granddaughter, Wiilow. She also leaves behind many extended family members and her many friends.
A funeral service is planned for 1pm on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11am until the start of the service.
