Man charged in connection with drug trafficking operation in Highland Co.

HIGHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — A Highland County man has been charged in connection with a drug trafficking operation.

Multiple agencies, including local law enforcement in Hillsboro, conducted a narcotics raid at a residence on Thursday.

Officials told the Guardian that large amounts of methamphetamine and other narcotics were found inside the home.

Brian New, 40, Hillsboro, was charged with aggravated possession, a first-degree felony.

New is expected to be arraigned on July 12, according to court records.
