CHILLICOTHE, Ohio– The Chillicothe Ghost Walk returns this year after a hiatus in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The one-day event will kick off on September 25 and will go from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Officials with the event said each location will be open to the tour and will feature storytellers who will share the haunted history of each location. The S.E.E.R paranormal team will also join the event this year and will share evidence from their paranormal investigations.

This year’s event will feature four downtown locations: Ross County Archives (located at the old Chillicothe Jail), the Masonic Lodge, Porch Swing Days Antique Shop, and the famous Majestic Theater.

Chillicothe’s Ghost Walk is a unique fundraising event for the City of Chillicothe, the city said. Proceeds from the event go towards the Chillicothe Halloween Festival.
