FAYETTE COUNTY, Ohio — One person was killed and another was seriously injured after a house was leveled Saturday morning after an explosion.

It happened in the 1900 block of Good-Hope New Holland Road in Fayette County just before 8 a.m., according to local officials.

Fayette County Sheriff Vernon P. Stanforth said that when crews arrived at the scene the house was completely leveled.

“On arrival, emergency personnel located a structure fire and a debris field consistent with an explosion,” the Sheriff told the Guardian.

70-year-old Patricia Miller was found dead among the rubble, the Sheriff said.
