HIGHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — A Highland County man will spend the next nine months in prison.

James Willey, 36, was sentenced to prison for aggravated possession of drugs, according to court records.

Willey was stopped July 4 by Highland County deputies for driving under suspension. According to deputies, he gave consent for his vehicle to be searched. Sheriff officials said that is when they found drug paraphernalia and a large bag of what appeared to be narcotics.

The bag was later sent for testing and was confirmed to be methamphetamine.
