Randy Franklin Wilkin

Randy Franklin Wilkin, age 70, of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday July 14, 2021, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on February 20, 1951, in Hillsboro, Ohio, the son of the late Marvel K. and Pearl V. (Newkirk) Wilkin. Randy was a 1969 graduate from Hillsboro High School and a member of the Union Church of Christ in Taylorsville. Randy worked at Parts Plus as a manager in Hillsboro, Lynchburg, and Greenfield for over 20 years. He then went on to work at Airborne Express as an aircraft mechanic for many years, and he retired after working 5 years for Kenworth, at the age of 65. Randy was an avid Street Rodder, and he had a great passion for all vehicles. Family always came first for Randy, and he loved all the time he got to spend with family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Randy is survived by his wife of nearly 39 years, Linda Wilkin, whom he married on July 31, 1982; a daughter, Nicki (Shawn) Holloway of Loveland; a grandson, Garrett Holloway; a sister, Marva Smith of Hillsboro; two sisters-in-law, Sandy (Ralph) Schrock, and Peggy Butler; five nieces, four nephews, several great nieces, and great nephews and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Sue Saunders. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 20, 2021, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. following visitation on Tuesday July 20^th at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. Josh Book will be officiating. Burial will follow services in the Union Cemetery in Taylorsville.
