ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A Ross County man is in jail today after deputies say he attacked members of his own family and then, held a gun to their head, threatening to kill them.
Deputies responded to the domestic situation around 1 a.m., Friday morning.
According to reports, the man had gotten into a fight with a child inside the home. The man then reportedly grabbed the gun and threatened to kill everyone inside the house.
Deputies arrived on the scene and were able to deescalate the situation, reports say. EMS was also called to the home to treat those hurt in the fight.
Law enforcement officials said the man identified as Phillip Yates, was taken into custody without incident. Yates now faces several serious charges.
